Terms of Service

By using HomeCook ("the app"), you agree to the following terms.
1. Account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One person per account.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use HomeCook only for its intended purpose: meal planning, recipe management, and household coordination. You may not:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
- Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Interfere with the app's infrastructure or performance
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute recipe data from the app
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of recipes and content you create. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content as needed to provide the service (e.g., showing your recipes to household members you've invited).
4. Household Sharing
When you share an invite code, anyone with that code can join your household and view shared meal plans and shopping lists. You are responsible for sharing invite codes only with people you trust. You can regenerate your invite code at any time to invalidate the old one.
5. Public Recipes
The app includes a library of publicly available recipes sourced from third-party APIs. These recipes are provided for convenience and we do not guarantee their accuracy, nutritional information, or suitability for dietary restrictions.
6. Service Availability
We aim to keep HomeCook available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
HomeCook is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Dietary or health decisions made based on recipe information in the app
- Data loss due to technical failures
- Actions taken by other members of your household
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
